A Rover’s Story - Engineering Challenge 4 Safe Landing
When Res is hurling towards Mars, he needs a parachute that will help him land safely. Can you design a parachute that will help Res land safely on Mars?
Students will design a parachute using coffee filters and will determine what canopy size is the safest for Res to use to land on Mars in this engaging and hands-on lesson.

This lesson is part 1 of 2. This lesson is set up to have students explore the friction bridge designed by Leonardo Da Vinci. Students first discover the inventor and become familiar with his life
Students will learn about kinetic and potential energy and how energy transfers. They will use that knowledge in order to collaborate with peers to create a roller coaster that will demonstrate this
Treehouse Design
Students will research, design and build a treehouse using the engineering design process. They will practice budgeting by pretending to have $100 to spend by using a supply budget sheet. Students
