"A Plastic Bag for Mom"-- A Plastic Bag Testing Activity
by Jeremie Gallardo
Let the students experience being industrial or manufacturing engineers as they convince bag companies about the best plastic material to upcycle for a more sustainable bag option. Through the Plastic Test, this real- life application of engineering skills allows the students to understand the intricacies of sustainable bag making. Also, the students can get to know Isatou Ceesay and her advocation on helping the women of Gambia. Moreover, the students will "visit" Gambia in a storytelling activity of One Plastic Bag: Isatou Ceesay and the Recycling Women of the Gambia.
