Matter, Mass, Density
This lesson starts by discussing/learning what is matter, the states of matter, and the properties of matter. It continues with what is mass and how to measure it. Two labs follow: density of solids and density of liquids. Students will need triple beam balances, density blocks, cm ruler, grad. cylinders, liquid samples, calculators. They will find the mass, volume, and density of solid and liquid samples in this hands-on lesson.

Rad Roller Coasters Part 2 comes at the end of our paper roller coaster project. Students will collect data on their coaster and use that to calculate velocity, potential energy and kinetic energy
This lesson allows students to describe the amount of current and voltage, and apply their knowledge of Ohm's Law in a series circuits. They do this by using the PhET Constructing Circuits Kit: DC and
Classes will build three different types of rockets, guess which style will have the highest altitude, launch and calculate results based on right triangle math!
