Unplugged Coding with indi Part 3
This is an unplugged screen free introduction to coding for Kindergarten and 1st grade students. They use colors and arrows to code a robot through a path maze. In parts 1 & 2 students learned about coding and coded a program to move a robot, indi, through a path maze. In Part 3 students will use their program to move indi though the path maze. In this hands-on lesson, students will demonstrate their understanding of robotics and coding by creating a course for their robot to move on. The course will include turns, circles and straight ways.
Students work in groups of 2-3 and use Bee-Bot robots to practice using a map key and symbol cards to program the Bee-Bot to find locations on a map. Students program, test, and modify their algorithm
In this lesson students will be able to program Dash to retell the story they read. Students will be able to run their algorithm and debug as necessary. An added challenge is for students to create a
