Space for Art & Poetry in your Science classroom!
by Julie Venglarcik
Middle school students love to compete. Here's a lesson idea for a competition that will appeal to your student scientists, artists, and poets alike. Standards and connections are offered for middle school Earth & Space content, however this contest is international and open to students (and their teachers) from age 5-18. Includes a simple science mini-lab to simulate the difference between viewing stars directly and through an atmosphere.
