Penny Pendulums
This is a simple lesson that explores the science behind pendulums. Students make a basic pendulum to explore the variables of mass and string length and compare results to their knowledge of the three laws of motion. Assessment is done by a graph displaying their data and a written paragraph. It is simple and does not require a lot of prep or supplies.

In this lesson designed for 7th grade, students will explore increasing and decreasing magnetic field of electromagnets by changing the iron core, wire gauge, or wire coils to determine which variable
In this lesson, students are challenged to design and test a windsock that can tell the direction and relative speed of the wind.
Students will learn about Newton's Third Law of Motion and practice this law by using the engineering design process to create a paper jet engine using a balloon.
