Modeling Substances using Element Atom Tiles
by Cassandra Cordts
Students will begin looking at how substances are made up of elements and use a model to show how atoms can arrange to make substances and then rearrange to make other substances. Students start by looking at a simple set of Lego bricks and how many things they can build with them and then apply that knowledge to chemistry to build models of substances.
