Learning How Pumpkins Grow using Coding
Just like many things we do in our lives, pumpkin growth and coding follow a pattern. Students will learn the life cycle of a pumpkin and fill in a practice page that talks about the pumpkin's life cycle.
Then there are coding (unplugged) activities to reinforce the science of the life cycle. This is a great lesson to introduce sequencing that is found in many content areas.

In this lesson students learn about the simple machine screw, specifically the Archimedes Screw, and engineer a device that can lift a marble.
Day 1 of a 4 day unit (with an optional day 5) on hydroponics, urban farming and vertical farming. Students will learn about hydroponics used on the International Space Station and vertical farming
After completing a unit on weather, students will be challenged to research, design, construct and attach a snow plow to their Edison robot. Then they will create a scratch code that will navigate
