Blue Corn Mush: What makes corn mush turn blue? An Indigenous STEM Lesson Plan

Students will explore the reason why blue corn mush turns blue when juniper ash is added. Students will create a hypothesis and engage in active discussions about the why of this process. Students will also have an opportunity to make blue corn mush, which incorporates math measurements into the lesson.
