Ratio Chicken Feed Part 1 of 2
Students will be able to identify the 4 main nutritional needs for chickens, and why they are needed. They will be able to read a recipe and create ratios based on the recipe.
For this first lesson, the teacher is setting up the students to be able to build the recipes in bags to be used to feed real chickens. There are two articles and a work packet to be printed. The students will need a highlighter, pencil, and, for some, a multiplication chart. There will be reading of informational texts, and then students will build equivalent ratios.
This is the 1st lesson in a series of 2. The link to the 2nd lesson is included.
