Our Solar System is Part of Many Galaxies Within the Universe

In this lesson students are going to learn that our solar system is part of many galaxies within our universe. The materials needed are paper plates, color pencils, scissors, paper, pencils, and iPad or tablet. In this lesson students are goin to see a video about the solar system. Then they are going to go to a NASA website to see and explore the solar system. Next, they are going to create a solar system using a paper plate. After that, they are going to go back to the NASA website to read about galaxies. For the assessment they are going to create a presentation to explain how the earth and our solar system are a small part of one of many galaxies within the universe.
