Lesson #3: Modifying a Design

This the third lesson in a series of lessons that introduce the engineering design process to middle schoolers. In this lesson students will go through the design process twice modifying their original prototype based on a set of criteria and constraints. The main take away for the students is that there are many ways to modify a design, and that each modification must meet the criteria for the identified solution.
