Electric Car/Rover
Students will design and build an electric car from simple craft materials. Students will complete an electric circuit and use gears to change the motor speed from too fast with little torque to slower with more torque. Advanced students may even try to change the gear ratios to change speed and torque more by building gear boxes using simple plastic gears and metal axles. Students will also see how energy can be stored in different ways. Elastic potential energy vs chemical potential energy.
