
Creating a 3D Car in Tinkercad
This lesson plan will introduce students to the basics of 3D modeling and design using Tinkercad and allow them to apply their skills to create a model car. It will also help them develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills by overcoming design challenges.
Materials:
Computers with internet access
Tinkercad accounts for each student (if your school does not have Tinkercad accounts for students, you can create a free teacher account and create student accounts within it)

As an intro to Thermal Energy, students are challenged to create a warmer that will keep my coffee warm. Students project will be tested in class, data will be collected, compared, and graphed.

This lesson introduces students to 3D printing. It provides some background videos on real-world 3D printing use, and then uses the Jot Notes technique to generate ideas for their own designs.
