The Math of Groceries

PD Hours 1.00

Children often accompany parents on grocery store shopping trips, but they don’t really understand the money concepts involved when deciding which items to buy. In this session, we’ll explore the everyday math concepts behind making savvy choices at the grocery store. From budgeting and unit pricing to fractions, percentages, and measurements, this workshop will equip you with the tools to teach your students essential math skills they can apply to real-life situations.

Participants will be eligible for 1 hour of professional development credit.

Due to the interactive nature of the presentation, all participants will be required to have reliable internet access and a device with video and audio capabilities.

*ASU STEM Acceleration Project Approved.
