Investigating Energy Systems

No votes have been submitted yet.

Students further explore the concept of energy and are introduced to the art of scientific argumentation. They engage in a practical inquiry to address the central question: "How can we determine if something possesses energy?" In pursuit of this, students construct three mechanisms that set a fan in motion and accumulate data to ascertain the presence of energy in each system. They meticulously document their findings and draw correlations between their claims and the supporting evidence. The primary objective of this lesson is to provide students with tangible exposure to diverse energy systems, all the while affording them an authentic opportunity to compile evidence and establish a logical link between their claims and the evidence they've collected.
